UX CASE STUDY GUIDANCE
YOUR YEARS OF UX WORK
WILL BE JUDGED IN SECONDS
Your work is stronger than your case study shows. Let’s find the decisions, tradeoffs, and evidence that prove it.
One case study. One 60-minute strategy session.
Three weeks of focused guidance. You write and implement the final case study.
FOR DESIGNERS WITH REAL WORK
YOU HAVE THE WORK.
YOU NEED THE STORY.
Bring one real UX project even if the case study is unfinished, messy, or difficult to explain. We’ll find the strongest angle and build a clearer direction around it.
THIS IS NOT A FIT IF:
× You want the case study written for you
× You need visual design or website implementation
× You need ongoing coaching or general career support
× You do not yet have a UX project
THIS IS A GOOD FIT IF:
✓ You have a great UX project with enough material to work from
✓ You want to write the final case study yourself
✓ You need help identifying the strongest story, decisions, tradeoffs, and structure
✓ You can provide the necessary project context and materials
HOW THE UX CASE STUDY GUIDANCE WORKS
A CLEARER CASE STUDY,
ONE DECISION AT A TIME.
Over three weeks, we’ll uncover the strongest story inside one project, build the direction, and improve how it comes across.
01
SHARE YOUR PROJECT
Send your case study, target role, portfolio, and any supporting project material.
02
FIND THE STRONGEST STORY
We’ll identify what hiring teams need to understand and what is stopping your success.
03
BUILD THE DIRECTION
Leave the strategy session knowing what to emphasize, cut, restructure, and support with evidence.
04
REVISE THE CASE STUDY
Revise the case study using that direction, then receive focused feedback on clarity, structure, and credibility.
05
FINAL REVIEW
Strengthen the remaining weak points and leave with clear priorities for your final version.
PROOF OF THE PROCESS
MORE ISN’T ALWAYS THE ANSWER.
YOUR CASE STUDY NEEDS A POINT.
See how I uncover the stronger story inside an existing case study and turn it into a clear direction for revision.
EXAMPLE STRATEGIC DIAGNOSIS
THE CASE STUDY OPENS WITH
“Warehouse operators were struggling with a workflow that was slow and confusing.”
THE STRONGER STORY APPEARS LATER
“The company was designing and developing a different decant module for each client.”
There is a real usability problem, but it is not the most valuable story that hiring managers would like to read.
The company was creating a separate implementation for every customer.
The stronger case study is about turning that repeated work into one flexible product
Usability redesign
↓
Product-scaling strategyThe work stayed the same. Now its strategic value became easier to value.
QUESTIONS THE REVISED STORY SHOULD ANSWER
What was consistent across customer sites?
What had to remain configurable?
Which evidence informed those decisions?
THE DIRECTION I WOULD RECOMMEND
Build the case study around the challenge of creating one scalable product without ignoring the needs of individual warehouses.
WHY OUTSIDE GUIDANCE HELPS
YOU KNOW EVERY DETAIL.
HIRING TEAMS ONLY SEE WHAT YOU SHOW THEM.
After months or years inside a project, it becomes difficult to tell what matters most.
I help you step back, find the story worth telling, and make the judgment that hiring managers want to read in a case study.
I look for:
The strongest story buried in the process
Where your role becomes unclear
Which decisions demonstrate judgment
How to stand out
What can be cut
Where stronger evidence is needed

FAQ
Questions, Answered.
-
UX Guidance includes a live strategy session, but everything is focused on helping you finish one specific case study. You’ll get a written blueprint, submit a full draft for feedback, make your revisions, and then wrap up with a final review to make sure it’s ready to go.
-
You write the full draft and make the revisions. I help with the diagnosis, direction, blueprint, feedback, and final review.
-
We focus on the role you’re targeting, the project itself, what you owned, the decisions you made, the challenges and tradeoffs you faced, and the strongest story to tell.
-
I look at both the project and your overall portfolio. If another project would make a stronger case study, I’ll explain why and point you toward the better option.
-
Your first draft doesn’t need to be polished. It just needs to be complete enough for me to understand the full story, how it’s structured, what you owned, and what evidence you have.
-
I may give you a few examples to show what a stronger direction could look like, but you’re still responsible for writing and revising the full case study.
-
No. This doesn’t include visual design, Figma work, or website development.
-
You can request an upgrade at any point. I’ll adjust the quote based on the work we’ve already done and how much writing and restructuring is still left.
IT’S TIME TO FINISH IT.
STOP FIGURING OUT THE STRATEGY ALONE.
